Alex’s current goals are finding internships and job opportunities within their 字段 的研究.

After obtaining a Master’s Degree, Alex plans on teaching History and 政治科学 在高等教育中.

 

As a first-generation 大学生, their main passion is to make the subjects easily digestible yet impactful for their future students, as well as being a positive 在他们的生活中给予支持的人.

Daniel is a part-time Teaching Assistant in 政治科学. 他是第一代 大学生. 

 

Daniel earned his Associate's Degrees in Social and Behavioral Science, and Social 2020年6月在立博工作. 

 

He has transferred to San Diego State University and is now working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies, emphasizing in Urban Political Economy and Public Policy.

 

Daniel is looking towards pursuing a Master's degree in Social and Community Work at the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2022. 

 

His interests include how city design affects mental health, and how urban planning 影响代表性不足的人群. Daniel wishes to provide peer mentoring and guidance for students interested in political science, urban studies, and related 字段.

Homayra Yusufi is a part-time Instructor of 政治科学. 她出生在喀布尔， Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation. 她的家人逃到了邻国巴基斯坦 as refugees and later immigrated to the United States. 从很小的时候起. Yusufi became interested in how policies affect us at an individual level and how to become agents of change within political systems. Ms. 优素福获得了政治学学士学位 science with a Minor in Middle Eastern Studies from San Diego State University and went on to attain her Master’s in Public Policy at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of 公共政策.

 

Ms. Yusufi then became a Policy Strategist at the American Civil Liberties Union where she worked on passing local and state legislation. 她目前是副主任 at the Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans (PANA), a non-profit organization that works on policy advocacy and community organizing around issues that directly 影响难民社区. Ms. Yusufi hopes to bring her policy background into the classroom to create a dynamic learning experiences for her students.

 In addition, Lavina has 2 years of experience in the profession as a Legislative Intern for the California State Senator Joel Anderson.

Her interests are in the functions and roles of Local and State Governments and in 公共法律和政策. Lavina’s mission is to assist and guide students with any questions regarding both education and career interests about 政治科学.
